Ok well I have to catch up since I haven't been able to post in several days. My last day at work was bittersweet, it was nice seeing that I didn't have to work, but sad since I didn't have the job any more. My friends gave me a great going away party, we played battle of the sexes, made the guys play, but it ended up being a fun game. My parents and great aunt flew in on weds, so I spent the weekend cleaning the house and creating flowerbeds that had been on my to-do list for a long time. I'm having a great visit with my family! They love the house and the area! We've been around Canyon Lake and to the Wildflower Center, and tmw we're going to the state museum. They loved all my friends, and agreed that it's hard to find good friends in this world, so we should hold onto em! :) I plan on it!
It seems like I have so much I want to do and things I need to get done before I leave, but I know it's not possible. It's hard to say on here but I have the greatest group of people around me and I will be very sad to be away from them. I just hope you all don't forget about me. Well thats all for tonight, dad brought my fav wine with him and I've had a lil too much..... it's time to go to bed....

| Last day at work |

Well it's my last day. I've spent the past 2 days training my replacement, and I think she'll do just fine. It's very odd leaving my job, when I don't have something else to go to that I'm looking forward to, like another job, or having a child or going to school. Nope, I get to go back to the army. Wa hoo... hehhe
Well like my friends and family said, it's a guaranteed weightloss program!!! :shock:

| Being Replaced... |

:) Well I'm finally being replaced at work! Wahoo! The three people we interviewed came down to a decision between two. We called the guy back this morning but he decided he wasn't interested, said he didn't want to work in 'the cage'! LOL :lol: Oh well I guess I can stand more than a lot of people. We ended up hiring a nice gal a few years younger than me, but seems to have her head on her shoulders. I hope she works out! I start training her tmw, so I'll have a few days to corrupt her before I go! :twisted:

| time is getting shorter |

Well it's my last week at work. It's kind of sad, since I've put so much into my position at work, and I had all sorts of projects planned, which I will not get to work on. I've been interviewing replacements, and I'm not impressed so far. Luckily, neither is my boss. Hopefully I find someone to start before the end of the week so I can show them the ropes, but I'm not holding my breath! Got a lot done on the yard this weekend, Tim got the dog area finished and I did a real nice flowerbed. Not too shabby since we had a huge storm come in Sat. afternoon!

Well I got more in depth orders this weekend. I now know I go to Ft Hoochie Coochie after Sill, so I can get a refresher course. WOO HOO. :roll: AFTER I get done with the course they will tell me what unit I'm assigned to and where I'm going. What Fun.

| And so the saga begins... |

As you can see, this is a new blog. The reason for this blog is for me to keep in touch w/ friends and family while I'm away. You see, 2 days ago, I came home from work, got the mail and proceeded to open the various junk mail and bills. As I got towards the bottom of the pile I see and envelope from Western Union. My heart froze. It was addressed to me, and sure enough, it was from the Army. After being a 'civilian again' for over a year, I was being told in a 1 page mailgram that I am being activated for 545 days unless extended.
I knew this would be a possibility, but dammit I don't want to go! I have a house, a husband, a great job, friends, and am supposed to start school next week!!! GRRRRRRRR!!! :evil:
But of course the army always picks the best time to mess with your life, so it is my turn to go. I have 3 weeks to get my affairs in order at home and at work, and then I'm off on my 2nd adventure w/ the army. I will keep this blog up to date as much as possible, so yall know where I'm going and what I'm up 2. Please feel free to write and comment on my blog! I will miss you all!
