Afghanistan is one of the poorest most run down countries in the world. It will be my home for the next 18 months.
I've heard all sorts of rumors, that it will be horrible, that its not so bad, that I won't have any time off, that there's nothing to do at work. I will just have to see for myself, which I will in less than 24 hours.
My main hope is that I have internet access to keep this blog up and keep in touch w/ friends and family, and that I have an ok place to sleep. My main worry is getting sick on this deployment-keep your fingers crossed!
Once I get settled I will try to post, or I will have Timmay post for me if i can't get to a computer.
