Another day, another 25 cents

I think that's about what it equates to...
I think I ate dog for dinner the other night also.... It was a very dark meat that didn't taste so good... it was mystery meat, none of the cooks could really tell me what it was. They breaded and fried it, I guess trying to make it better, but it didn't work.. I ate a few bites, then started thinking about my Collin and Ada back home, and couldn't eat any more of it! :shock:
Well today was a decent day, we didn't get hit w/ rockets here, unfortunately another camp wasn't so lucky. Kinda shakes you up a bit, especially knowing the things I know about here, but what can ya do? I guess if it's my time, it's my time.
But not today!!! I have a hot room and a bed w/ springs poking out waiting for me!
ATTENTION: I have named the Dragon: Bastian, after the neverending story. He was my fav, along w/ my fav movie growing up, thanks for the reminder mom!!!
Package update: Please send snacky foods for the gang here...these guys are always eating!!! Jerky is good (especially homemade stuff) and trailmix and anything kinda bad but kinda good :wink:

my grand mother had the same trouble with mystery meant when she traveled. she said it was only really bad in asia and the middle east. she always thought about her pets at home.

glad your not dwelling on it. thinking of it will get you no where fast. and trust me if any of us have anything to say about it you'll be home and as good as ever;)

ok ill add snacky things. should leave tx around the 2nd;)

Dog is a possibility, but probaby very old goat or sheep, or possibly even camel. WE never ate much lamg so you don't know what mutton (old lamb) tastes like (which is why we never ate it much -hard to get the really good lamb) Is your food prepared by military or contractors?
There's a little snack stuff coming in the boxes Dad sent yesterday and I'd been wondering about jerkey, so it's now on the list!!

dog meat is usually kindof grisly and pretty tough but with enogh seasonings it ain't all that bad

Mailed your package today. They said 3 days to the APO but then 2-3 weeks to you....could it really take that long? Guess we'll see.
