Well I spent the day trying to control my cravings to eat anything chocolate. I did pretty good. i had half a mini snickers, and saved the rest for another time. I haven't been very hungry, I think I am, but after I start eating my food, I lose interest. I'm eating pretty well ( I think) not too much meat but some, I take off all the breading, and veggies and fruit for dessert. I allow myself 2 diet cokes per day ( I need caffeine) and the rest of the time its water, and one serving of milk per day. I've been riding the bike for 30 min, and I go 12 miles. My knee hurts, but it actually feels better after I bike, vs not working out. I'm so frustrated. I know I've just barely gotten started but I have 45 lbs to lose. 45!!! How did I ever let myself turn into such a slob! It's disgusting! I really hope I can lose this weight, and soon because I can't deal with myself like this any more. I just can't. Ok, enough pouting, I'm tired, going to bed.

It took one day at a time to put it on....and will take one day at a time to take it off. Willpower....and patience are your best friends. Look at me....I've lost the same 45 lbs. about 4 times which equals 180 or so.......

The biggest sabotage for dieting is self disgust. If you can think positive thoughts about yourself...and truly believe it...the discipline comes so much easier. Trust me...been there, done that......love, susan

I am 80 pounds overweight so I can sympathize with you. I wish I had been able to get a handle on my eating when it was only 45 lbs and not 80. You sound like you are on the right track, don't get discouraged if the weight comes off slow- the weight didn't arrive over night and it won't go away overnight either. The best of luck and I look forward to reading about your many successes!
