Well tmw is Friday, so I'm planning on doing a bit of bazaar shopping. I'm actually going to price gems, as I plan on buying some nice ones to have set when I get back to the states.

On a good note, I found out that when I go to the elections cell next month, I won't have to travel much. I just have to go across the street like I do all the time, onto my work compound and then out another gate to the UN compound and I'm there! It'll add another .5 mile hike to my day but all in all not bad.

I gave myself a pat on the back today, I RAN at the gym!!!!  I ran a mile, and will continue to do it, and then step it up eventually... so far the ankle is holding up. :-)

You are ahead of me with the running.

Do you get a change of place in supervisors?

Keep the eyes, ears open!

LOVE YA, DAD

Excellent job on the running...BUT you might consider tying a turban for an alternate means of calorie reduction. To burn the same amount of calories as your 1 mile run you would only need to tie 4338 times, and all done in the comfort of your own home.

on a side note...I’m interested, how do they do the money thing over there...what do they pay you in....do the locals take American money or do you get WADS of afghan money?

Anyway grats on the travel reduction and keep up da good work.
