the future
11.05.04 (12:04 pm) [edit]

Who has a crystal ball? Anyone got one I could borrow?

Never in my life have I felt so uncertain as to the future. Yes I know I'm coming home on leave, and have to come back. But who knows, I could get extended. So I finally come home, then what? Do I get pregnant? Do I go to school? Do I do both? Do I join a unit to keep out of IRR, but could still possibly get called up? What will Tim do? Are we going to move?

I understand some things in life should be planned, but how far out do you start making these decisions? Who's to say Bush won't reinstitute the draft and Tim will have to leave?

You just take it one day at a time and 99.9% of the time things work out but remember into each rain a little life must fall you will do all right and yes you should have kids your Mom and Dad would really like it and we need a new one for the 4th.

Hang in there and we will see you sooner that you know as times really does fly.
And you the funny thing someday these will be the good old days.

You have to go with the flow and see what happens......we don't know at this point so worry about each day not the big chaluba.
Make broad plans and dream with the understanding that we all have to be flexable. Then take each day at a time.

There is no plan to start the draft but that could change. Tim is discharged (?) so he is no different than I am.

Bottom line is take each day at a time and look forward to each step. We will see ya at x-mas.
LOVE, DAD
It sucks but there is nothing we can do to change anything at this point.
